UNDECIDED VOTERS HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT YES OPPORTUNTIES

Local Yes Scotland supporters from the Yes Dumfries group are hosting an Undecided Voter Event at Georgetown Community Centre on Friday 4th April at 7pm.

With recent polls showing increasing support for the Yes campaign and a narrowing of the gap between Yes and No, more and more people want to find out what independence could mean for them, their families and for the country as a whole.

Local Yes Volunteer Kerry Willacy said:
“This is a great opportunity for people who are currently unsure of how they want to vote on 18th September to come along and hear the positive message of the Yes Campaign. We have some great speakers for this event and there will be plenty of the time available for attendees to ask questions about the issues that really matter to them”.

The audience will have the chance to hear from four speakers: lawyer, actress and SNP European Election Candidate Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, author Karen Campbell from Women for Independence, former Green Party MSP Chris Ballance and Richard Arkless from Business for Scotland.

She added:

“The range of speakers should allow a wide variety of topics to be covered on the night and gives the audience an opportunity to get comprehensive answers to all of their questions”.

Yes Dumfries are planning to host more of these events over the coming months to allow people to hear from a wide variety of guest speakers on why we should all be voting Yes in this autumn’s referendum.
