The Scottish National Party swept to a majoirity of seats in the election for the Scottish Parliament held 5th May with an unprecedented 69 seats, giving it a majority position against opposition parties. In the South of Scotland, four constituency seats were won first past the post, however none in the Borders, Dumfriesshire or Galloway and West Dumfries. A further four list MSPs won places in the new parliament to represent those areas: Aileen McLeod, Dave Berry, Joan McAlpine and Paul Wheelhouse.

Wild that @UKLabour seem to have been let off the hook without an apology for lying to the press and public about "talks" with @theSNP.
Rather than talks it seems Keir Starmer has already decided he'll be ordering Michael Shanks, Ian Murray and rest of UK Labour to abstain.
