SNP Council Budget position

The SNP Council Group have declined an invitation by Labour to a meeting aimed at using our knowledge and expertise on budget setting. The SNP has delivered successive and consistent balanced budgets, as prescribed by our manifesto, since 2007.

As such the SNP Group will be building on the previous two budgets and be putting forward our proposals which remain consistent to our aims, ambitions and promises to the people of Dumfries and Galloway.

The Group have taken heed of the strong views fed back from local SNP members and others about their distrust of the main UK unionist parties.
