McLeod welcomes boost for local dairy farmers
> SNP MSP for the South of Scotland Aileen McLeod, has welcomed the announcement that a Scottish dairy brand will be launched later this year to promote Scottish produce at home and abroad and provide additional support to Scotland’s dairy farmers.

> Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs Richard Lochhead has announced that he will publish a detailed diary action plan shortly, which will contain plans for the dairy brand in addition to other measures to promote Scottish products.

> “I welcome this announcement from the Scottish Government – it will provide real and lasting support for local dairy farmers as well as boosting the Scottish economy. This will make it easier for consumers to choose Scottish products first.
