The SNP Group on Dumfries and Galloway Council today (Thursday) welcomed confirmation of the 10% increase in core funding from the Scottish Government funding for the Homes Energy Efficiency Programme.

This increase in core funding follows on from a 20% increase in Scottish Government funding for this programme last year.
Councillor McClung, SNP member of the Housing Sub Committee, said
“This increase in funding from the Scottish Government will allow the Council, in partnership with the Energy Agency, to widen the availability of grant funding for more efficient insulation and heating to those who live in fuel poverty or hard to heat homes across the region.”
