SNP REPS MEET WITH UK CIVIL SERVICE
SNP Westminster Leader Angus Robertson MP and Chief Whip Stewart Hosie MP today (Sunday) held their first face-to-face meeting with the UK Civil Service in London as talks continue between parties seeking to form the next UK Government.
Commenting after the meeting, Mr Robertson said:
It is becoming increasingly clear that a progressive alternative to a Conservative-led government exists at Westminster.
The SNP stand ready to work with all parties for democratic change including proportional representation and a functioning UK parliament which serves the people.
The people of Scotland will be deeply anxious that instead of real change and reform, Nick Clegg may simply usher in a Tory government rejected by over 80% of the Scottish people.
Our meeting today was constructive and informative and we will maintain this approach in any future meetings and negotiations.
