SNP MSP Michael Russell Welcomes Health Board Decision on Hospitals

Press Release

SNP MSP MIchael Russell commenting on the decision by the Health Board to defer any decision on re-organisation said:

” I am very pleased that the Health Board has seen sense, But instead of deferring the decision they need to abandon it, go back to the drawing board and come up with proposals with meet the needs and aspirations of local people. As someone whose parents both died in the Kirkcudbright Hospital, I know how important these local facilities are and how they provide much needed support at times of real difficulty. I have argued strongly for their retention throughout the region and I will go on doing so. If the community remains united we can win this one.”
